PrepareStatement() error using Oracle ODBC with Apptivity
Error with PrepareStatement() when using Oracle ODBC drivers
Oracle's ODBC version 1 driver does not support the
PrepareStatement() call which is used in Apptivity. Version 2 or 3
ODBC drivers must be used. These will work with the JDBC-ODBC
bridge.

documentation provided with Apptivity.
