Does Progress support the AdminServer on a wireless network?
GOAL:
AdminServer stops responding on a wireless network, when connectivity to the network is lost.
GOAL:
Is it okay to run the AdminServer on a machine that is configured only for wireless network connectivity?
FIX:
Progress Software does not support the AdminServer in a wireless network configuration. Server products are intended to run in a production environment where the network can be guaranteed.
Progress has identified some issues that can cause the AdminServer to become unavailable if network access is lost. Although we strive to resolve all issues in a timely manner these issues have not been resolved. We will continue to work on these issues.
