Getting error 5890 when saving a 4GL application that contain an ActiveX component
Error occurred while accessing component property/method: saveControls.
Error code: 0x80020009 adeshar/_contbin.p (5890).
The temporary directory is pointing to a Windows 2000 server shared folder
-T is pointing to a network drive on a Windows 2000 server
Uninstalling security patches does not help
CHANGE:
Applied security patches for the Windows 2000 server
CAUSE:
There is an non-Progress issue on the Windows 2000 server which is preventing the wrx fike from being created properly. The Filemon utility from Sysinternals (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/default.mspx) shows that a FLUSH operation to the shared folder is failing with an INVALID PARAMETER error.
FIX:
This problem can be caused by the Veritas backup program installed on the Windows server, details of this issue are described in the following Microsoft KBase:
