RedHat Enterprise Linux ES 3.0
OpenEdge 10.x

CAUSE:
This is a RedHat bug, with the service "audit". It either needs to be disabled or the kernel needs to be upgraded to the latest build.
FIX:
Upgrade to the latest kernel build or disable RedHat auditing .
1. Upgraded to kernel build 2.2.21-40
or
2. disable audit with:
service audit stop
