SYMPTOM(s):
Installation of 10.1A01 Service fails with error:
unable to get version info from <OpenEdge installation directory>
The error message below appears in install.log file:
<OpenEdge installation directory>/lib/versioninfo.so file not found
<OpenEdge installation directory>/lib directory contains versioninfo.sl instead.
The 10.1A Service Pack 01 HP-UX 64-bit ITANIUM has been downloaded from ESD website
Media ID for current installation is 175
CAUSE:
OpenEdge 10.1A has been installed with the wrong media ID.
For HP-UX 11i Itanium, the correct media ID is 186 (CD version) and 197 (DVD version).
FIX:
To be able to install the 10.1A Itanium SP, follow the steps bellow:
- Uninstall OpenEdge 10.1A
- Reinstall OpenEdge 10.1A with the media for HP-UX 11i Itanium
- Apply the 10.1A Service Pack 01 HP-UX 64-bit ITANIUM
