SYMPTOM(s):
Protrace file growing very large
Protrace file grows to several gigabytes
Working directory located on a file server
All clients on the network using the same working directory
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
OpenEdge 10.1A
CAUSE:
The exact cause is unknown at the time of this writing.
It is suspected that this occurs when two clients are writing to the same protrace file (which is possible if they happen to have the same PID), but this can not be proven conclusively.
FIX:
Make sure each user has it's own working directory
