FIX:

The Progress FTP site can be reached at ftp.progress.com (IP address 192.168.39.112).
The site is used by Progress Software to make files available to Progress customers. Available files include quick patches/workarounds, coding suggestions, and other programs that you might find useful. Part of the FTP site is public to all users and is available via anonymous FTP. You might be instructed to download a file from a particular area of this public area, either by a Progress staff member, or by a Progress Solution.
Depending on your preference, you can use either a Web Browser or use an FTP application to log into the Progress FTP site. Once connected you will be in the public area, either /ftp/pub or /ftp.
You will then be able to access the directory and files as per the specific instructions that you have received.
I. Using an FTP Application.
For Anonymous FTP login, follow these steps:
1) Go to ftp ftp.progress.com (IP address 192.168.39.112).

2) Username: anonymous.

3) Password: <enter your e-mail address>.

4) cd <where_you_have_been_instructed_to>

5) bin (puts you into binary transfer mode).

6) get <filename>
(or "mget <file*name>" if there are several files)
II. Using a browser.
1) Direct your browser to: ftp://ftp.progress.com. (IP address 192.168.39.112)
Your browser possibly supports anonymous login by default when you request a URL using the FTP protocol. If your browser is not set up to send your e-mail address, you will be prompted for a username and/or password. The username is "anonymous" and the password is your e-mail address.
2) Navigate to the folder that you have been instructed to
3) To download a file that Progress has made available to you, use the "save as" option in your file menu.
