SYMPTOM(s):
DB Navigator does not display East Asian data correctly.
Asian UTF-8 Unicode data stored in the database is not correctly displayed by the OpenEdge Architect DB Navigator.
Western multi byte UTF-8 characters like the Euro and accented French characters display correctly but Indian Devanagari characters display incorrectly.
Using the Edit Table Data option in the DB Navigator displays incorrect Asian characters
CAUSE:
The required fonts and East Asian language support files are not installed on the client machine.
FIX:
Use the client machine "Region and Language Options" to install the "Files for languages with complex characters with right-to-left (Thai)" and the "Files for east Asian languages".
