SYMPTOM(s):
Installation of Progress runs forever.
Installation fails with no error
InstallShield process is running but nothing is happening.
CAUSE:
Installshield is failing to handle temp files.
FIX:
1) Solution about temp file being too long at:
http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=q110648
FIX:
2) activate the RPC locator by going to Start->Control Panel->Admininstrative Tools->Services->right click on Remote Procedure Panel->Call (RPC) Locator->Properties->Startup type->Automatic->OK, then restarted the computer.
The programs installed fine thereafter
