SYMPTOM(s):
Installation of SQL Client Access on NetSetup client will also modify files on the server installation
Installation will be done as an installation of additional products to the installation on the server
Not possible to start a Progress session on the client after the installation of SQL Client Access.
The Session will start but will be closed down immediately.
CAUSE:
Bug# 20041209-004
FIX:
Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.1A and later.
An installation of a core OpenEdge product is not allowed when a Shared Network (NetSetup) installation of the same version exists on a system.
In 10.1A, the following error is displayed:
Install Error
A shared network installation of the same version was found.
You must first uninstall the shared network installation, then
run setup.exe again.
