Getting an OEM Product Warning when trying to download a service pack from Business Objects web page
OEM Product Warning
Warning: If you are a Crystal OEM (original equipment manufacturer) partner or a customer of an OEM partner, please contact the OEM partner for current file or product updates (including Hot Fixes and Service Packs). Do not apply file updates available from this site, as they are not designed to work with OEM versions of Crystal Reports® or Crystal Info? (formerly known as Seagate Info).
CAUSE:
The warning is issued by Business Objects because they have many partners who made modifications to their Crystal products. Progress on the other hand does not modify these products.
FIX:
The Crystal products from Progress are not customized. This warning can be safely ignored.
Customers who purchased Crystal products from Progress will get major and minor Crystal releases from Progress.
Crystal Service Packs and/or Hot Fixes should be downloaded from the Business Objects Website.
