Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
Update cancelled with Stateless AppServer
SDO based on temp table fails to update the temp table after changes are saved and openquery is run.
Update cancelled with Stateless AppServer
The database record does not exist or is locked by another user
Cannot update records when using a SmartDataObject with temp-tables in
stateless AppServer
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
When the stateless AppServer is disconnected the temp-table is destroyed in the server side, therefore there isn't a record or table to update.
FIX:
Two possible ways to workaround this could be use a state-aware AppServer or to set the 'Force to stateful mode' property for the SmartDataObject to TRUE. These workarounds will lock the AppServer agent.
