SYMPTOM(s):
Using F2 key to call up specific application functionality
Application is character/TTY-based
Specific key does not return the expected result
Pressing F2 launches a debug menu
Pressing F2 again does nothing
Problem only occurs at specific sites
The correct menu displays straight-away or on the second keypress at other sites
CAUSE:
The wrong version of PROTERMCAP is being used. The key-mapping for F2 is different in the version of PROTERMCAP that is used by the application.
FIX:
Use the version of PROTERMCAP that contains the correct key-mappings
