Assigning a value to a formatted field through the BUFFER-VALUE attribute
When a value such as '12345678901234 xx' is assigned to the BUFFER-VALUE of a field with a format of "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-xxxx", only the first twelve characters of data are assigned to the field; so what's stored is '123456789012'
When a value such as '12345678901234 xx' is assigned to the BUFFER-VALUE of a field, only the first twelve characters of data are assigned to the field
'123456789012' is stored instead
The format of the field is "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-xxxx"
