FACT(s) (Environment):

Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000

SYMPTOM(s):

Progress does not detect duplicate names in schema files.

If a database schema has two tables with the same dump name, but with different cases (i.e. "tablename" and "tableName"), it will cause the first .d file to be overwritten by the second one when the data is dumped through the Data Administration.

CAUSE:

In the hidden table _File there is an index on _Dump-name. However, in the field properties of _Dump-name there is a "Case Sensitive" check box which is checked and cannot be changed.

FIX:

Specify a different unique dump-name for each table.
