Results 8.2b GUI - Font issue on labels .
Problem:
With the new system fonts in 8.2, GUI Results will have a problem
when printing the labels. These were designed under the older version
font setting, so when used with the new fonts, it will not fill the
page.
Possible Workaround:
In order to get around this issue it is possible to use the older
font setting with the newer 8.2B Results to print labels.
How to change the font setting:
- Edit the Windows Registry (running regedit) and change the Progress
8.2B font registry settings (MS Sans Serif 8 point) back to the
pre-8.2B setting. (10 point system font). Specifically, change the
DefaultFont and DefaultFixedFont settings in the StartUp Section.
example:
- Run regedit
--HKEY_CURRENT_USER (if no entry try HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE)
---Software
----PSC
-----PROGRESS
------8.2B
-------Startup
--------DefaultFixedFont
--------DefaultFont
Once you've made the changes you have to re-boot to accept.
Start 8.2B Results with the changed font and try the label
printing again.
**MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE BACK TO CORRECT FONT SETTING AFTER THIS TEST.**
NOTE: Using the older 10 point font, Results 8.2B may not display
its screens and dialogs 100% accurately, but they should display
without errors.
