Unable to create or update records of existing tables in UDB/400 using ODBC DataServer
S1000 [DataDirect][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver][UDB DB2 for iSeries and AS/400] <table> in <library> not valid for operation.
Tables created via DDS.
CAUSE:
In order to be able to change records or insert new ones in UDB/400 database using ODBC DataServer (SQL interface) it is necessary to start journaling of the physical files that represent the tables being accessed from Progress 4GL client. Commitment Control is compulsory for SQL access.
FIX:
Start journaling of the physical files (tables) which are to be modified
Use STRJRNPF command to add this failing file to an existing journal with already attached receiver
