How to use PROTOORA in 8.2B ( Oracle error 604 Unix NT )

When running the PROGRESS protoora utility in 8.2B,
you may receive the following errors:

oracle error -604 see ORACLE error messages and
codes manual (1252)

:1252

error occurred at recursive sql level 1

:1502

These errors have been reported as a progress bug and
the bug has been fixed in version 8.2C. However, if
you are running 8.2B you can follow the steps outlined
below to migrate your progress database to oracle:

1) Rerun the protoora utility. DO NOT PRESS OK when the
first alert box appears with the message "OUTPUT COMPLETED.
See <holder>.log for more information".

2) Leave the "OUTPUT COMPLETED" alert box up on the screen
and bring up SQL*PLUS. Run the <holder>.sql file that Progress
generated. This .sql file can be found in the working
directory on Windows or in the current working directory on
UNIX.

3) Once this file completes executing, rename the original
<holder>.sql file to something else and go back to the
"OUTPUT COMPLETED" alert box and PRESS OK. Another alert
box will appear "PRESS OK for the migration utility to
continue". PRESS OK.

Upon completion, the following error may appear:
** Unable to open file: ?. Errno=9. (98)
Disregard this message. You now have migrated the
Progress database to ORACLE.
