FIX:
To determine what version of Windows 95 you are running is to follow these steps:
1. Right click on the "My Computer" icon.
2. Select "Properties".
3. Look at the "General" tab:
You see something similar to:

Microsoft Windows 95
4.00.950
The 4.00.950 is the important part. This number represents the first OEM release of Windows. Other numbers and their meaning are:
- 4.00.950a (the Service Pack 1 is installed)
- 4.00.950b (this is the Windows 95 B [OSR 2] release)
