GOAL:
How to add Visual Editor plugin in the OpenEdge Architect
FIX:
In order to install the Visual Editor plugin, the Java Development Tools Core needs to
be installed beforehand.
1. In the browser navigate to the following URL:
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.1-200506271435/index.php
2. Search for the file "eclipse-JDT-3.1.zip"
3. Click on it and choose download site :
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.1-200506271435/download.php?dropFile=eclipse-JDT-3.1.zip
4. Download the file and extract its content to %DLC%\oeide where %DLC% is the
OpenEdge 10.1 installation directory
5. Start the Architect and choose Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install...
6. Step through the wizard and choose VE 1.1.0 and select it
7. Install the VE component.
