SYMPTOM(s):
Error 42 when trying to dump definitions
bfx: Field too large for a data item. Try to increase -s. (42)
After setting -s parameter the error changes to:
REPLACE/CONCAT may not result in data > 32000 bytes
Selecting more than 2048 tables at the same time
Using Graphical User Interface (GUI)
Using 9.1E with Service Pack 03
9.1E03
Trying to dump .df of the entire database
CHANGE:
Applied Service Pack 9.1E03
CAUSE:
Bug# 20060330-018
FIX:
As a workaround, use one of the following:
1) Select less than 2048 tables
2) Use the Character client (_progres.exe) on Windows
3) Use any Unix client
