GOAL:
Does Progress Support CentOs 5.4, CentOs 5.5 or CentOs 5.6 64 bit virtualization software?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Linux
OpenEdge 10.1C
OpenEdge 10.2x
FIX:
CentOS 5.2 and above is supported with OpenEdge 10.1C or later.
"CentOS 5.2 and above" infers, support for CentOS 5.4, CentOS 5.5, CentOs 5.6 for example.
In other words, we support the base Operating System of version CentOS 5.2 and any service packs above that, relying on the OS vendor's backward compatibility. We do not explicitly certify the Service Packs unless otherwise stated in the Product Availability Guide. On the other hand, once CentOS version 6.x is released, this would require a new certification and is currently unsupported.
For details of the supported virtualization platforms please see the Product Availability Guide.
