Using Windows Classic Theme
Use visual styles on windows and buttons is not used
Using a manifest file (prowin32.exe.manifest) in the same directory as the prowin32.exe file
Screen is updated many times in a short time (for example when displaying a counter)
Window flickers
CAUSE:
Although the presence of the manifest file should have no impact on prowin32.exe when running in Classic mode. The flashing appears to be caused by a delay that the manifest file imposes on Windows controls.
FIX:
Workaround:
Rename the prowin32.exe.manifest file to something else when not using Windows XP Theme support.
