conv910 fails with error 6890
Converting a version 9 database to version 10.1A database
Unable to remove IDXKEY/IDXKEYNM keys for _Index table entry -16400. (6890)
Conversion utility conv910 fails and leaves the database as a version 9 database
CAUSE:
Bug# 20060214-033
CAUSE:
This is a known issue in some environments with the update vst functions during conversion.
FIX:
This issue has been fixed in OpenEdge 10.1B
There are two workarounds:
1.) Use dump and load instead of conv910 to migrate V9 database to OE 10.1A. With the new Type II Storage Area types, there is even more reason to use this method than the usual benfits that this exercise affords.
2.) Convert the database with the OpenEdge 10.0B conv910 executable

NOTE: Before migrating a Progress Database:
a.) A valid backup of the database should always exist
b.) The database should be truncated with the previous version executables first
