Can a 4GL Socket client communicate through the virtual IP in a Cluster environment ?
GOAL:
Is there a way to force the 4GL Socket client to communicate via the virtual IP in a Cluster environment ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
FIX:
It is not possible to use the virtual IP address with a 4GL Socket client. The Progress / OpenEdge client is not Cluster aware, so it always binds to the physical network interfaces for TCP/IP communication.
