GOAL:
Can replication be re-enabled on a target database after it has been transitioned?
GOAL:
How to restart replication on a target database after it has been transitioned?
GOAL:
Can replication be restarted on a transitioned target?
FIX:
After a target database has been transitioned to a normal database allowing normal client connections as indicated by the messages -
Transition is complete. (10704)
The Fathom Replication Agent <agent-name> has performed transition on database <database-name>. Normal database activity can now occur. (10497)
The Fathom Replication Agent has transitioned the Target database to a normal database but it may NOT be synchronized with it's Source database. The last transaction ID applied is <num> and is as of <time> with a time difference of <-><HH:MM:SS>. (11822)
- then replication cannot be re-enabled on that database.
The replication procedure must be begun again from scratch - i.e. copying the source, etc., or using the transitioned target as a new source.
