Actuate - Changing name of db in Actuate
Re-assigning the database connection on a Actuate Report
Problem:
Changing the connected database within an Actuate report.
A report is written against a database name train85 but needs to
be run against the database demo82.
Both databases have the same data definitions.
Solution:
In the Component Editor for the "Connection" component change the
DatabaseList values for the new physical database name. Also, change
the StartUpParameters to reflect the new services and host names.
If these values are "greyed" out and cannot be changed these
components are part of a report library. Either change these values
in the library or set the specific reports connection to a Local
Subclass.
To set a component to a Local Subclass
>highlight the desired component
>Then select Edit/Local Subclass.
The Actuate Component Editor can be used to change the component
values.
