SYMPTOM(s):


Uninstall fails when performed by a user other than the user who originally installed the Progress product.


When Progress is uninstalled the information regarding DLC is obtained from the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry key.

If the user is not detected in this registry key is not the same user who originally installed Progress, the uninstall will fail.

CAUSE:

Bug# 20041007-015.

FIX:

1) Perform the uninstall while logged on as the user who performed the original installation.
OR
2) Manually uninstall the Progress product.
OR
3) Upgrade to Progress 9.1E01, OpenEdge 10.0B01 or 10.1A or above
