Apptivity install - general reading error -3
INTRODUCTION:

If you have done registry changes to disable the 8.3 name creation,
you wont be able to install apptivity. You will see a general reading
-3 error and the install utility will crash. It will happen usually wh
en it's in 1% on the installation process.

CORRECTIVE MEASURES:

Edit the registry and change:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem
Value:NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation - Type: REG_DWORD
Set it back to the default, which is 0.
