Browsers and Enabling Java Logging / Java Console
There are ways to get more information about java programs
that are being run in your browser. On Netscape Navigator
(3.X and 4.X) you can start a "Java Console" or you can enable
"Java Logging" on Internet Explorer.
To enable "Java Logging" on Internet Explorer 3.X, or 4.X select
View --> Options --> Advanced --> click "Enable Java Logging".
This will put a java log on disk you can read later. The file
is called javalog.txt and will be in a java directory under the
directory specified by the WINDIR environment variable, e.g on
NT it will be in C:\WINNT\java.
On Netscape Communicator, select Communicator --> Java Console.
This will start another window that will show Java errors as they
happen.
