SYMPTOM(s):
Getting error 136 when entering serial number and control codes.
The configuration data entered is for an incompatible machine
No original CD available
INSTALLATION ERROR (136): The configuration data entered is for an incompatible machine. Call Progress technical support.
Serial number and control codes are suppose to be for Progress 32 bit version.
Serial number and control codes are correct when run through configuration tool.
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
The product downloaded was for the correct OS but the wrong bit platform. Platform is 64 bit and product license is for the 32 bit platform. The product downloaded must match the licensed OS and bit platform.
FIX:
Download the correct product media and install.
