Apptivity, Openlink to progress 1174
Connecting Apptivity 2.0 to a remote progress database over Openlink
Multi Tier ODBC drivers. (Example has progress on HPUX)
If you see the following error in the database log file:
Invalid shared memory segment (1174)
and in the output from the Openlink request broker (oplrqb -dv)
oplrqb: found reuse pid=3D6388 udpport=3D3438 tcpport=3D5002 spxport=3
D53= dntport=3D
you need to do the following to resolved the problem:
In the oplrqb.ini file
[generic_pro<version>] change the line
ReUse = ifsame database, ifsame machine
to
ReUse = never
Then shutdown and restart your oplrqb.
The reason you need to do this is because Apptivity causes oplrqb to
reuse the database agent process.
