Connect RS/6000 Clients to AS/400
To connect RS/6000 Client to the AS/400 you need to install the
following on the AS/400:
o AS/400 Operating System must be V2R2 or higher
o PROGRESS/400 4GL & DataServer or PROGRESS/400 DataServer
V6.2M04 or higher
o IBM Connection Program/400 (5798-RZB)part number
o AIX Application System AS/400 Connection Program/6000 (5765-173)

On the Client you will need:
o AIX Operating System V3.1 release level 2006
o PTF's for two APARS: IX20671, and IX22146 requested from IBM
o AIX System Network Architecture Services/6000 (5601-287)part
number
o Network card, Progress recommends either Token-Ring or Ethernet
o ISDN, X.25, SDLC are excepted.
