(290) I/O errors can be caused by a missing font

A missing Windows font can cause "SYSTEM ERROR: I/O error.... (290)
in Windows if that font is specified as the default font in
PROGRESS.INI or the Windows Registry.

One customer apparently deleted the MS SANS SERIF Windows Font
accidentally and did not realize it at the time. That font was listed
in the [fonts] section of the PROGRESS.INI file and apaprently was
in the Windows Registry as well. Every time the customer attempted to
start Progress, the following error appeared:

SYSTEM ERROR: I/O error 2 in readit Ret 0, File 7 Addr 0 (290).

Re-installing MS SANS SERIF Windows Font corrected the problem.
