No Beauty procedure in V7 & V8
If a customer inquires about a beauty or beauty.p procedure available
in V7 or V8, they need to be informed that it does not exist. In V6 of
Progress, there was a procedure that could be extracted from the
procedure library that would "beautify" the code (beauty.p). This was
never supported by Tech Support, it was part of sample code shipped
with the product.
Confusion about this issue may arise due to the existence of the
following code:
dlc\gui\prodict\misc\w-beauty.r, dlc\gui\prodict\odb\beauty.r,
dlc\gui\prodict\ora\_beauty.r, dlc\gui\prodict\gate\beaty1. and the
same files in dlc\tty\prodict...
Those files are routines internal to the data dictionary which
"beautifies" schema images for foreign databases. They have nothing
to do with beautifying 4GL source code.
