HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Unknown CGI Extension is set to allowed
Added a web service extensions to allow cgiip.exe messenger
The File Association in the web service extension is created as
C:\inetpub\scripts\cgiip.exe
The web site, scripts virtual directory and the cgiip executable are all set to allow anonymous access
The scripts virtual directory is configured to use one of non-default application pools
The application pool's identity tab has predefined "Network Service" selected
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
WebSpeed 3.x
OpenEdge 10.x
IIS 6.0
CAUSE:
This problem may occur if the application pool security account does not have the "Adjust memory quotas for a process" user right or the "Replace a process level token" user right.
