Opening a .W containing references to an OCX control generates an error
CtrlFrame.<automation object name>
Unable to create control.
Error occurred while accessing component property/method: LoadControls.
CtrlFrame.PSTimer
Unable to create control.
Error occurred while accessing component property/method: LoadControls.
OCX control is not present when window opens
Re-adding the OCX control to the window succeeds
Error re-occurs when re-opening the window after adding the control again
Problem is affecting all PCs
Progress sessions reference a .INI file rather than the Windows registry
Re-registering OCX control has no effect
Re-registering PROX.DLL has no effect
Re-generating the .WRX file has no effect
CHANGE:
Upgraded to 9.1E
CAUSE:
The entry for [current directory] was removed from the ProPath defined in the .INI used when starting the Progress session
FIX:
Re-add the [current directory] entry to the ProPath
