Apptivity - setup application on a webserver - configuration

Below are suggested steps on how set set up an application developed
using Apptivity on a webserver.
If you are not using Netscape Web Server as described in this example,
your aliases may need to be set up differently. See you Web Server
documentation for further information.

Assumptions Made:
a. Apptivity is installed in C:\Apptivity20
b. Say your project name was: Test and is created in a dir
C:\Apptivity20\Projects\Test
c. You are running Netscape Web Server on your Win 95 machine.

Steps:

1. Create the following Aliases on your web server:

Directory Alias
---------------------------------------------------------------------
C:\Apptivity20\Progress /Test/Progress
C:\Apptivity20\jdbc /Test/jdbc
C:\Apptivity20\Projects\Test /Test
C:\Images /Image_Source
(Wherever your images are located)

2. Start the Web Server

3. Start the Apptivity Server (You can start it from the Start,
Programs, and Apptivity Group)

4. Start your browser.

5. Type in the URL:
http://YourMachineName/Test or
http://YourServerName/Test or
http://128.128.128.0/Test (Where: 128.128.128.0 is the IP Address of
your machine.)

This should show you the application in the Browser.

Now, If you wanted to access this from a Mac, start the browser and
type in the URL and it should show you the Application.
