Fathom email alerts are not received
Admserv.log file shows that the emails were successfully sent
Email received if running sendmail from command line
Email firewall log file shows no record of email being received or blocked.
The FROM address is set to contain a domain name suffix
FACT(s) (Environment):

OpenEdge Management 3.1x
CAUSE:
Then sendmail service on the specified host is not active.
FIX:
Start the sendmail service on the host. To check/confirm that the sendmail service is active run the following command:
lssrc -s sendmail
If active, the output will look similar to:
Subsystem Group PID Status
sendmail mail 233668 active
If not active, teh output will look similar to:
Subsystem Group PID Status
sendmail mail 233668 inoperative
