SYMPTOM(s):
Creating new record in Smart Dialog does not update all fields.
Creating a new record using smart objects shows the default value of a field and not the entered value.
CAUSE:
In the SDO which contains the field, the field is set to be non-updateable.
When saving the data, this field is not changed, so when when retrieving the saved data back into the viewer or browser, it shows the default value defined in the field properties.
FIX:
When a record needs to be created or modified, make sure to have the necessary fields set to updateable in the accompanying SDO.
