Report Builder for 8.2B - Cannot connect standalone to DB
Report Builder 8.2B and 8.2C will not operate against a PROGRESS
Personal Database of the same version.
Since these versions of Report Builder are 16-bit, a server is
required to connect to a 32-bit database. The Personal Database does
allow a service name to be used (-S) and therefore cannot be used as
a server.
Either a Workgroup or Enterprise Database product can be used
since they allow a server to be started. They can only be used on
Win NT.
Another option is to upgrade to Version 8.3A of Report Builder, which
is a 32-bit version.
