SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot connect clients after a restart of the database
Disconnected from server because database name was incorrect. (437)
In the db log file he can see: BROKER could not fork a server process. (1156)
BROKER could not fork a server process. (1156)
Database is started with Progress Explorer.
Same error with both SQL and 4GL connections.
CAUSE:
The cause is unknown, but something in the Windows environment makes a problem when there is a space in the directory name used in the DLC environment variable.
FIX:
To solve this problem change the "DLC" setting from "D:\Program filer\Progress" to "D:\Progra~1\Progress" in "System properties" and in the registry.
