SYMPTOM(s):

Connecting AdminServer fails when using the Windows user account having non-ASCII characters

Progress Explorer fails to connect AdminServer when logged in using account having extended characters like ä ö ø etc.

Problem also happens when using Windows English installation and English (US) locale

Using command prompt commands from 'proenv' only 'proadsv -query' returns result

Using Progress Explorer in 9.1D version connection fails without errors

Using Progress Explorer in 9.1E version connection fails with error 9173

CAUSE:

Bug# 20051230-004

FIX:

Upgrade to OpenEdge 10.0B with the latest service pack,
or 10.1A where this problem is fixed.
