The JVM levels posted in the Availability Guides reflect the version of JVM used for the development and testing of the current commercial releases of Progress & OpenEdge. The compatibility specifications of Java dictate that the re-certification of patch releases is not necessary and it is the java vendors responsibility to guarantee binary compatibility, therefore the installation of Java Patch releases that have not been explicitly tested or approved by Progress Software is done so at the customers own risk.
