Unable to start databases from ProControl
FileMon shows vsmon.exe process accessing the TCP/IP configuration at the moment ProControl tries to spawn a database
CAUSE:
vsmon.exe does not allow ProControl / ProService and a database to communicate properly - it keeps the OS pipe between ProControl / Proservice busy.
FIX:
As an immediate solution, please disable the vsmon.exe process (from Services) and get in touch with ZoneLabs in order to get this problem fixed.
It is recommended to use Progress Explorer (AdminServer) instead of ProControl to maintain Progress databases.
