SYMPTOM(s):
Unable to set the foreground color for a toggle-box.
Setting the FGCOLOR attribute of a combo-box widget does not change its foreground color.
Combo-box is enabled and sensitive.
Using the Windows XP Style.
Works fine using the Windows Classic Style.
Using a manifest file.
CAUSE:
This is a limitation caused by the XP Themes manager.
When a manifest file is used, the Theme manager ignores any request from the client application [OpenEdge in this case] to change the foreground color of a toggle-box.
Incidentally, requests to change the background color are honored.
FIX:
This is a limitation in a 3rd-party product, and cannot be addressed by Progress Software.
The only possible workaround is not to use a manifest file, if that is applicable.
