GOAL:
Does the PROGRESS_RECID and PROGRESS_RECID_IDENT fields have to be last fields in a table
GOAL:
Can you add a field after the PROGRESS_RECID_IDENT field?
GOAL:
Is it true that the progress_recid column needs to be the last column of the table
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
DataServers
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
The PROGRESS_RECID and PROGRESS_RECID_IDENT (on MS SQL Server only) fields do not have to be the last fields in the file. In OpenEdge 10.x, the MS SQL Server utilities include a Generate SQL Utility which adds field after these two fields. The Schema Holder contains information for the DataServer to know where in the file the fields exists.
