FACT(s) (Environment):
ODBC DataServer
Windows NT 32 Intel/Windows 2000
SYMPTOM(s):
Service Pack 10.0B02 doesn't register a new DB2 ODBC driver.
Data Direct DB2 Wire Protocol driver
After installation of OE 10.0B02 that contains embedded new DB2 driver v.5.00.00.102, the driver is not seen in the ODBC Administrator utility.
The driver's dynamic libraries: p1icu20.dll, p1db220r.dll, and p1db220.dll are installed into %DLC%\bin\odbc correctly.
CHANGE:
Installation of OE 10.0B02 Service Pack.
CAUSE:
A Service Pack doesn't install new registry entries. Only major releases build registry keys from scratch.
FIX:
The following registry keys must be changed to point to the new driver 'p1db220.dll' :
HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\OpenEdge 10.0B DB2 Wire Protocol Driver\Driver
HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\OpenEdge 10.0B DB2 Wire Protocol Driver\Setup
The following key may be changed to inform the driver's new version '5.00.00.102':
HKLM\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\OpenEdge 10.0B DB2 Wire Protocol Driver\DriverODBCVer
