Special characters are not recognized in a Progress session
Apostrophe and double quotes are replaced by question mark
Paste a clipboard value in a fill-in will add just the question mark
Copying a value from some Microsoft Office products to the clipboard
Copying a value from some Microsoft Word to the clipboard
Copying a value from some Microsoft Outlook to the clipboard
Copying a value from some Microsoft PowerPoint to the clipboard

CAUSE:
The AutoFormat option in the Microsoft Office products replaces the quoters and apostrophe with 'Smart quotes' and 'Curly apostrophe'
CAUSE:
Smart Quotes and Curly Apostrophe are not available in the ISO8859-1 codepage
CAUSE:
Default Progress codepage is ISO8859-1 and default Windows codepage is 1252
FIX:
WARNING: If the client is OE10 and the database is version 9 the database could be corrupted.
Change the -cpinternal parameter to 1252 for the client and UTF-8 for the database server or Turn off the AutoFormat option for the MS products as a workaround.
