SYMPTOM(s):
Error 2624 does not return the user name of the user locking the record
<file-name> in use by <user> on <tty>. Wait or choose CANCEL to stop. (2624)
The process ID is visible but not the user name. So it is difficult to identify who is locking a record.
CAUSE:
The sequence of the database connections was changing. For the database that was supposed to be the first to connect there was a -U and -P parameter specified in the .pf file. But if another database connected first then PROMON shows blanks in all the user names for that database.
FIX:
Correct the connection sequence of the databases.
